Our curriculum was developed in Silicon Valley and is in official use at Facebook. It has also been used to teach hundreds of engineers from Dropbox, Google, Uber, Yahoo, and other leading Silicon Valley companies.
We’ve had over 3,500 applicants for our courses. We've completed 19 classes which has our network to 350+ alumni.
Our alumni have come from, and are working at companies such as:FPT, TinyPulse, DesignBold, DesignWall, Saleshood, WizeLine, Mulodo, & Panasonic.
Our current offerings are free, 8-week bootcamps for qualified applicants. Our curriculum is based around real-world examples, and has been tested by thousands of Silicon Valley engineers from Google, Dropbox, Uber, Yahoo, Box, and other leading Silicon Valley companies.
For the first four weeks of class, students participate in class discussions, and in-class pair programming exercises, while spending 5-15 hours a week on homework assignments designed to feature the most common use cases. During weeks 4-8, students work in groups on a final project, which they present at Demo Day, to an audience of a few hundred people, for a Grand Prize Award judged by local tech luminaries. Our judges have been local tech executives and founders, established investors, and Forbes 30 under 30 finalists.
Charles & Harley are the founding members of CoderSchool. Both have startup co-founder experience. In addition to co-founders we have an amazing team of TAs, Instructors, and In-House Developers.
We partner with select companies to sponsor classes that help to grow their engineers experience as well as to learn what real companies creating real products want from their engineers.
Our internal training programs accelerate engineer productivity and enhance employee retention. And yes, this is how we make money - by working with companies to provide their engineers with the best possible instruction.
While our internal Demo Day is our main focus, we’re often invited to speak at events & also frequently host tech talks & workshops as additional ways to contribute to the tech community.
We’re currently working on a better showcase to be hosted at http://showcase.coderschool.vn.
